Sandy Orson (Olivia Newton-John), a lively and innocent Australian girl, met Danny Zucker (John Travolta), the boss of the school's "tough guys", when she went to the United States during the summer vacation. Sandy, who fell in love with Danny at first sight, reluctantly kissed Danny goodbye and embarked on the journey home. A young and sweet first love ended with the hot summer. However, Sandy's parents decided to move to the United States, and to Sandy's excitement, she found out that she was actually studying in the same school as Danny. In order to pursue Danny, the originally dignified and steady Sandy became fashionable, and also deliberately dated the famous handsome athletes in the school. However, things didn't go the way Sandy had hoped.　　The film was nominated for Best Original Song at the 51st Academy Awards in 1979, Best Picture and Best Actress at the 36th Golden Globe Awards in 1979.
